How I got Into Yoga

My yoga journey has begun in 2013 through a recommendation by a friend. I approached it with curiosity, using it as a means to improve my flexibility and balance to complement my other physical activities and hobbies.

As I continued attending classes for a few months, I started to notice profound changes occurring within me. Not only I became physically stronger and more flexible through regular practice, but I also found myself becoming less nervous and irritable.

One day, something extraordinary happened. I had a moment of complete detachment, it was like an out-of-body experience which gave me a sense of serenity and contentment. From that day forward, BYLU became my second home.

Favorite Posture

My favourite Yin pose has to be Dragon because it offers many variations to work on different levels of hips and groins flexibility to release emotional tension and it is a great starting point for preparation for splits.

My favourite Yang pose has to be Bent Leg Triangle because it combines elements of stability, flexibility, strength, focus and breath. Also known as ‘Birthday Pose’ as we sing along

‘Happy birthday’ while holding it.

My all time favourite is Savasana, the state of letting go of body and mind like a dead body, one of the most powerful pose during and at the end of the class.

Why I Love Teaching

I love teaching because I like to share my passion and hopefully be able to make a positive impact to enhance overall well-being of others.

It’s incredibly rewarding to witness transformations when you see students progress in their practice and overcome challenges of which they once thought impossible.

Above all, teaching is a journey of continuous learning and personal growth. I am grateful to be part of the BYLU community to constantly learn from other yogis and yoga teachers alike.
